For 20 years I have been growing lavender in a place I was told that it wouldn't grow. This year, weather permitting, I will bring several varieties of lavender plants in 4 inch, 6 inch and 8 inch pots to Westfest. If you would like try one or more, I will provide a suggestion sheet for the variety you choose.
My products have been made to help me with my own issues and for customers who have requested I make something for them. I do get interested in making something new every once in a while.
I make cold-pressed soap. There are no chemical fragrances or manufactured scents in any of my products. All aroma is from therapeutic grade essential oil or dried lavender buds. I have sachets and sleep pillows. It may surprise you to know that several items that I make include lavender.
A. I made a therapy soak for some joint and tendon issues I was having. It worked well for me and people have been using it for several years now. It can make you sleepy and includes magnesium and hyssop essential oil.
B. Lavender infused Eucalyptus Oil Shower Spa Spray. Spray this on your shower wall and let the steam bring it to you to help clear sinuses.
C. My Beard Oil includes lavender essential oil, but I cover it with tee tree, peppermint and orange zest. Maybe my best all around product is Lavender Hydrosol Spray.
Maybe my best all around product is Lavender Hydrosol Spray. At last years Westfest, many people got relief from all the gnats in the area. This spay is from a variety of lavender that does really well repelling mesquites. Last year we learned it is also effective on gnats. It has a lot of other uses. If you come by my booth I will be let you know about them.
My very first product was called a solid lotion. It was made to smooth rough skin. It has evolved with a couple of changes into my lip balm.
I call these items my Lavender/Aloe Vera Group. Nine or ten years ago my Dermatologist began telling me I needed to start using a moisturizing lotion. I was spending a lot of time in my field. I was being very hard on my skin. I tried many moisturizing lotions and didn't find one that on a hot/humid day was comfortable. I didn't like the aromas either. I was not having any luck doing better. Then I stumbled across aloe vera juice and my outlook really improved. Now my ingrediants would absorb into my skin and not be oily or greasy. I worked on additional anti inflammatory and disinfecting ingredients and now I had much more than a moisturizing lotion. I was pretty shy about making a body wash because expensive ingredients would just go down the drain. Now these ingredients can help the users skin health.
The last and newest member of this group is my Lavender Natural Shampoo. Last spring I introduced a new cold pressed soap using lavender essential oil and frankincense essential oil. Since I am the first tester of my products, I saw some nice benefits from this combination. So now there is a shampoo on the product list with lavender, frankincense and aloe vera. In case there is a question, I really like it.
For any purchase of at least one of each of these three items, I will offer a nice discount for the Westfest celebration.
